These terms apply to your use of diceread.com. By reading the catalogue you accept them. If you do not agree with any part, please stop using the site.
1. What this site is
DiceRead is an independent editorial project. It publishes descriptions and opinions about free mobile puzzle games that are distributed by third parties through Google Play. It is not a shop, not a download service and not a publisher of games. Nothing here can be installed from this site; every title link sends you to its official store listing.
Editorial notes are opinion. They describe how a game felt to the people who played it on ordinary phones and may not match your own experience. Star ratings and review counts shown next to a title are quoted from Google Play at the time of the check and belong to that platform, not to us.
2. Advertising disclosure
The catalogue is free to read. It is supported by advertising: developers and their partners can pay to have a title promoted in the catalogue, and some outbound links are advertising links. Promoted entries are reviewed with the same routine as every other entry. The second source of support is our own Plus membership, described in clause 4.
Neither advertising arrangements nor Plus memberships change a rating, a description or the order in which a title is judged. If we cannot describe a promoted title honestly, it does not appear. Ratings are never negotiated, and we do not accept edits to editorial text from advertisers.
3. Free titles
All titles listed are free to download from Google Play, and every card links to the official store listing. We do not sell any title, we do not distribute one, and we do not process any transaction between you and a developer. Whatever you agree to inside a game is a matter between you, that developer and the store; this site is not a party to it.
4. Plus membership
What it is. Plus is an optional paid membership offered by DiceRead. It adds extended write-ups with detailed notes on mechanics, pacing and difficulty, early access to new write-ups, a weekly e-mail digest prepared by the editorial desk, and the archive of past issues. The public catalogue, the editorial notes on it and the screens stay free to read and are never moved behind the membership.
Rates. Plus costs A$4.90 per month or A$39 per year. Rates are stated in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. If a rate changes, current members are told by e-mail before the change takes effect for them and may cancel first.
When billing starts. Places are released in stages. Joining the list on the site is a request, not an order: nothing is charged until we confirm your seat by e-mail and you complete the sign-up we send you. Until that confirmation you owe nothing and no card details are collected.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, with no notice period, using the link in any digest or by writing to hello@diceread.com. Cancelling stops the next charge; your access continues until the end of the term you have already paid for, and the yearly term is not shortened by cancelling early.
Payments. Payments are handled by an external payment provider acting under its own terms. DiceRead does not receive or store card numbers or other payment credentials; we hold only your e-mail address, the state of your membership and its dates, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Your consumer rights. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service is not supplied with due care and skill, or is not fit for the purpose we described, you are entitled to a remedy under that law, which may include a refund for the unused part of a term. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Questions about a membership, a charge or a remedy: hello@diceread.com — we answer within 5 business days.
5. No affiliation
DiceRead is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC or by any developer or publisher named on this site. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Product names, game titles and company names are used for identification purposes only.
6. Intellectual property
Game icons, screenshots, titles, characters and other game material remain the property of their respective rights holders and are shown for the purpose of description and commentary. The editorial text, the structure of the catalogue, the layout and the visual design of this site belong to DiceRead.
You may quote short extracts of our text with a visible link back to the source page. Republishing whole entries, or copying the catalogue structure, requires written permission. If you hold rights to material shown here and want it removed or credited differently, write to hello@diceread.com and we will act promptly.
7. Accuracy and availability
Games change. A patch can rework stages, alter difficulty or remove a mode after our notes were written, and a store listing can change its rating at any moment. We check the catalogue regularly, but we cannot guarantee that every detail matches the current build of a game.
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law we exclude warranties that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Third-party links
Outbound links lead to Google Play and to other third-party resources that we do not control. Their content, availability and privacy practices are their own responsibility, and following such a link is at your discretion.
9. Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, extract its content automatically at scale, or use it in a way that breaches Australian law. We may restrict access where that happens.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts. Where local mandatory consumer provisions apply to you, they continue to apply.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the project develops; the date at the top of the page shows the current version. Questions about these terms: hello@diceread.com
